Golan Technologies releases annual earnings report

In a release issued on Year 9 Day 30, weapons manufacturer Golan Technologies disclosed a positive sales trend for fiscal year 8, noting a more than 500% growth in the company's net worth in the same period.

"I really can't say I'm surprised," said Marquis Administrator Gideon Bodnari.  "I think it's clear that our decision to market affordable munitions useable by the average sentient -- as opposed to niche-marketing hardware useful only to the professional combatant -- has paid off.  Our customers have been as varied as the galaxy itself, from transport pilots to diplomats to corporate executives.  Of course, it's the top-notch delivery service from our Moddell Division that's made so many of those customers become repeat customers."

The company's Moddell Division is currently the only one with an operational production and delivery capacity, according to the earnings report, but ground has already been broken on a second division based in the Outer Rim B-3, slated to open later in Year 9.

The earnings report also noted that monthly salaries have nearly doubled in the past year for Golan Technologies staff at all levels of the corporate pay structure, and futher increases are expected later this year.  "That demonstrates a pretty key concept for me as an executive," Bodnari said of the pay increases.  "I believe that prosperous employees make for a prosperous company, so I look for every opportunity to raise salaries and award bonuses.  A kind word may go a long way for some people, but I believe nothing makes a person feel appreciated like cold hard credits."

In a slight departure from the typical recitation of profits, the earnings report also described Golan Technologies' philanthropic efforts, which have in the past year reached out to over 4 million sentients on 41 worlds across the galaxy.  Notable among these were housing donations to the people of Tarodain in the Barab System and significant investment in the Devaronian and Barabel homeworlds.
