A small capital ship enters the citys landing pad, from it a tall Trandoshan dressed in formal garments emerges, escorted by another highly decorated Trandoshan.
Echo approaches the room of Diplomats, and proceeds to the podium.
Echo nods to Stormchaser.
Good evening Leaders and Diplomats of Avance Coalition and her Affiliates. I am Overlord Echo Rantae, of the T'doshok Alliance, and to my side is the House Sissk Leader, Ashura Harma. As House Hsskor Leader, and Second in Command of the Alliance, Rick Stormchaser has told you, we are seeking to pursue safe places for members of this great Alliance to work, play, and be active within their roles, wherever they so chose to serve,
Now, I would like to take a moment of your time to address the concerns of some members of Avance, if I may. But let me start with a little history, unknown to some.
Echo shuffles through some paperwork.
Before we formally became the Alliance, it was I and a couple other Trandoshans, some of which were part of the New Republics Operation that free'd the Kashyyyk system from The Twelve Colonies tyrannical oppression. We were more focused on chasing them from our home, Trandosha, but while we had them on the run, we pushed them entirely out of the system. In doing so, Wookiees were then safe again from oppresssion as well, first from the Galactic Empire, then with the Twelve Colonies, which the system is now under the control of the New Republic. The NR does not imprison Wookiees, there are even wookiees in their ranks.
The crowd begins to whisper, silently, unaware of the war that took place in Kashyyyk.
As time went on, Doshans began to return to their homes which were pillaged and destroyed. It was at this time that the Alliance was formed to help rebuild our once prosperous race, which yes, was known for its slaving as a means of income.
At the time of forming, we did push our old roots of Slaving, and in doing so, hoped to begin increasing our credit flow to rebuild our war torn planet.
When the membership of the Alliance began to grow, the clans decided to form the Houses of the Alliance, as not all Doshans had the same view of the galaxy. While some are traditional, and see slaving as the only way to please our god, The Scorekeeper, another House, House Sissk, saw potential in beginning peace talks with Wookiees. Our focus went from Slaving, to helping others of our kind better themselves, succeed, and become notable members of society.
With this in mind, our members are not required to seek out Wookiees as our "sworn enemies." As I have seen, not all Doshans feel this way. And with that being said, I would like to retract the statement and appologize to any Wookiees offended by those "words," in which Xanyarr Chyakk was referring to.
Echo pauses momentarily.
Just because our history is that of vicious slavers, that does not mean it is our future. Take Rick for example, a great leader, he is loyal to Avance, as well as a key leader of TA. You all trust him, and he is a Doshan. Why would you fear a group of Doshans lead by him? The system, under control of the New Republic does not allow slavery, and I myself being a Galactic Alliance member, will not do anything to jeopardize our friendship with the New Republic.
Echo peers into the crowd.
Why would I go into such information with you, the glorious Avance Coalition? The answer is simple.I am seeking safety for members of this Alliance, so that they may become successful in their own endeavours. We have affiliations with factions in place for members of the Alliance if they chose, but some would like to be part of a bigger picture, a government. With the dedication and extensive knowledge Ashura and Rick have shown, it is apparent that Avance is a safe place for our members, and Avance would look past our heritage, and welcome new Doshans of the galaxy into their ranks, as an equal, not an opponent.
I thank you for your time, and hope you'll consider the well-being of our people.
Echo bows to the Avance members, before signaling to Ashura, and taking a seat.
